New Delhi: Canis Welfare Pet Club (Regd.) & South Delhi Municipal
Corporation Organised "Free Anti Rabies Vaccination and Awareness
Camp" on World Rabies Day,28th Sept.2017 at Paschim Puri,Near Punjabi
Bagh, Delhi. Sh. Kailash Shankla, Deputy Mayor, SDMC inaugurated the Anti
Rabies Vaccination Camp.
Our target for this year
is to get more than 10,000 dogs vaccinated in Delhi n NCR between 10th Sept to
10th October 2017. Till now,we have vaccinated around 2000 dogs in different
localities with the help of our dedicated Vets,Animal lovers n Volunteers.
Around 100 Veterinarians
n 150 Volunteers n Animal lovers actively participated in this camp.Dr.Vijay
Kumar,Secretary,Canis Welfare Pet Club says that main motto of this Club is to
make "Delhi Rabies Free"and to vaccinate all street dogs during this
month long drive.Col.(Dr.) Ranadhir De,President,Canis Welfare Pet Cub also
emphasised on Anti Rabies Vaccination and Sterilisation of stray dogs to check
their population with the help of Municipal corporation n NGOs.

across Delhi for the last 9 years.
The club held Awareness
n Education programmes at many reputed schools across Delhi where our dedicated
Veterinarians n volunteers had a long session for the school children n
motivate them to adopt Indian Desi dogs n be Kind to strays.
The club also organises
Annual Dog Show since 2008 specially to promote Indian Desi Dogs.Motto of Club
:"Be Proud To Adopt An Indian Dog and Be Blessed".
