Chandigarh, November 19, 2022: The Region's Eminent Fashion Designer Aman Sandhu, who runs fashion studio's in Mohali and Amritsar organized an exclusive Fashion Walk ‘Peedhi’, or generation, and a live exhibition to showcase her exquisite collections at The Hyatt, Chandigarh. The Fashion fiesta was organised to mark the completion of a 20 year journey by the label Aman Sandhu.
The main attraction of the event was the Fashion Walk in which kids-young models, middle aged and senior women- which is three generations, showcased some of the exclusive designer suits from designer Aman Sandhu’s collection. The apparel genres included traditional wear in myriad vibrant hues, Banarsi and tie & dye pieces.
The occasion was graced by Amandeep Sandhu, Principal, Sherwood College, Nainital; Mandeep Singh Manna, Ex Congress leader and Social Activist; Suhinder Kaur wife of Punjab PWD Minister Harbhajan Singh and Satwinder Bitti, Punjabi Singer.
Speaking about the trends for the wedding season designer Aman Sandhu, said, “We’ve moved away from the era of playing safe to one of experimenting. This is the season of bright and popping colours; essentially shades of the rainbow. Hues of pink, blues, yellow, and orange would be the colours to look out for this season. Purple will also be a trending colour and could be seen possibly donned by kids and women.”
It is imperative to mention that Sandhu feels an immense pride to be a Punjabi and finds a deep connection with her Punjabi traditions and culture, this can be seen having an influence on her designer collections. Her ensembles are a mix of different kinds of suits be it Salwar Kameezes, Sharara Suits, Gharara Suits, Lehengas and other designer wear.
Dwelling upon the modernization, Sandhu said, “Despite the fact that fashion is fast influencing everyone’s lives, Indians have not forgotten their roots and respect for the traditional & ethnic wears, especially during the festivals. I ensure that all my creations are handmade with intricate and traditional Indian embroideries.”
For the first time, an exclusive discount of 20% was offered on over 150 designer suits, dupattas and other collections during the exhibition. Moreover, lucky draws were also announced at the end of the event. Designer Aman Sandhu also unveiled a unique Look Book which offers a peep into the designer’s collection with the key designs of her journey of 20 years since 2002.
