Kamaa Cafe Launches Cultural Food Festival Celebrating Diverse Indian Cuisines

Chandigarh (Sp Chopra) : Kamaa Cafe in Sector 7, Chandigarh, has officially launched a month-long Cultural Food Festival featuring a delectable array of Punjabi, Rajasthani, and Hyderabadi Dishes. The festival, which began today, showcases the culinary talents of Executive Chef Suneel Jamwal, who has crafted an extensive menu celebrating regional flavors and traditional recipes.

Chef Jamwal shared his inspiration for the festival, emphasizing the desire to bring diverse regional cuisines under one roof in Chandigarh. "The festival allows guests to experience authentic dishes from different parts of India without leaving the city," Chef Jamwal explained. "We also considered client feedback, which frequently requests a variety of regional dishes. This festival is our response to those suggestions."

The food offerings are prepared with meticulous attention to authenticity. Chef Jamwal noted that spices are either crafted in-house or sourced from specific regions to maintain true flavors. For instance, the spices for the Lal Mas are made in-house, while the red chilies for the Hyderabadi Biryani are sourced from Jaipur.

Guests can enjoy a range of dishes including Lal Mas and Gatta Kadi from the Rajasthani menu, and from the Hyderabadi menu, options such as Biryani, Kebabs, Musalam Chicken, and Murge Laziz. The Punjabi menu features unique items like Chole Bhature in a distinctive desi style and Makki ki Roti with Sagg. Additionally, Chef Jamwal has introduced innovative dishes such as Tikka Bruschetta, light bite Galoti Sandwich, and Chicken Tikka Bao, Blending Continental and Punjabi flavors.

In breads you can opt from Khamiri roti, Mirchi ka prautha, and Naan-e-cheese.

To complement the diverse food offerings, Sanjay Thakur, the head of the bar, recommends pairing the dishes with refreshing drinks like the Summer Slush, Strawberry Cooler, local crush (fruit yogurt drink) and many more such refreshing beverages.

The Cultural Food Festival at Kamaa Cafe promises a rich and flavorful culinary journey through India’s diverse regional cuisines, offering something special for every palate.
