Baijnath, Himachal Pradesh : In a significant step towards rural empowerment and sustainable development, GYAN Wellness Retreats has inaugurated its state-of-the-art GYAN Gaushala in Baijnath, Himachal Pradesh. This initiative is aimed at preserving indigenous cow breeds, conserving the sacred cow, and creating sustainable livelihoods for villagers, while fostering economic and social growth in the region.
The GYAN Gaushala is not just a sanctuary for cows but a transformative project designed to empower villages, engage women and youth, and promote eco-friendly products. Under the leadership of GYAN Wellness and in collaboration with the Teesri Sarkar Federation, which works tirelessly to strengthen the Gram Sabha movement, the Gaushala has already begun manufacturing a range of products, including:
Cow-urine and cow-urine-based products known for their medicinal and therapeutic properties.
Organic Honey, promoting natural and healthy living.
Cow dung pellets for organic fertilizers, supporting sustainable agriculture.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by prominent leaders and visionaries, including Sardar Inder Preet Singh, Chairman of Global Middas Capital Fund, which is financing the ambitious GYAN Wellness City project. Speaking at the event, Sardar Inder Preet Singh said, "GYAN Gaushala is a testament to our commitment to rural empowerment and sustainable development. By preserving indigenous breeds and creating eco-friendly products, we are not only honoring our cultural heritage but also building a prosperous future for our villages."
Sardar Harmeet Singh, Director of Global Middas Foundation, emphasized the project's role in fostering community development. "This initiative is a bridge between tradition and modernity. It empowers villagers, especially women and youth, by providing them with meaningful opportunities to contribute to their communities while preserving our sacred traditions," he stated.
Aman Bandvi, Director of Global Middas Capital, highlighted the economic potential of the project. "GYAN Gaushala is a model for sustainable rural entrepreneurship. By producing high-quality, eco-friendly products, we are creating a market that benefits both the environment and the local economy," he remarked.
Harleen Kaur, Director of GYAN Wellness and head of the Phulkaari Project, which focuses on empowering village women, shared her vision for the Gaushala. "Women are the backbone of rural India. Through this initiative, we are providing them with the tools and resources to become self-reliant and contribute to their families and communities. This is true empowerment," she said.
Baldev Raj Sood, Director of Teesri Sarkar Federation, praised the collaborative effort. This project strengthens the Gram Sabha movement and brings us closer to our goal of self-sufficient villages," he added.
